(Part2) “Difficult times are not to test us but to bring the best in us”
V1 - Aadhi kuty, we can't thank you enough. I know how hard it was for you than it was for us. You had to go through a lot of changes & you are still coping up.
As excited as u were for being a big brother, u were sad to let go of ur space with momma. U had to stay home. U miss ur friends.
But I supported us very well. I know momma’s behaving a little weirder lately. And oh boy you are awesome to say 'it's ok mommy' when momma says sorry for being rude.
Had to document this during the initial lockdown, we were all home, Momma regained the time she spent with you. We did a lot of activities together, you tried your best to let amma appa work. Then mid-June, when you started to play outside, it became a little difficult for us to both be with u & work. It was more difficult for a social kid like you for what was happening around. Hard time for appa amma as well. Then we made up our minds and settled with the fact that we are going to handle the journey with V2 without support from elders.
U had to stay outside for the 1st time ever without us during delivery.
Now that momma rejoined work & u r indoors again, seeing you play independently, accepting that parents are working and being patient during our meetings (not always though) makes me think you embraced the changes very well than us.
Thank you, V2, for being patient with us and spreading your peace. All this while u are observing us and your lightening smile, sparkling eyes, giggles, and coos are giving us hope & reminding us to stay calm and strong.
We as a family are thankful for the people around us. Thanks Aparna Bhabi & bhaiya for taking care of V1 during V2's delivery. Thankful to the frnds here in the community who helped us go through the initial 2 weeks after delivery.
Last but not the least, thanks to friends and relatives who sent us their wishes, blessings, prayers virtually. Thank you to all the essential workers who kept the world going.
All along the journey, we learned a lot, still learning. Evolved stronger than ever.
The most important learning - "Appreciating what we have".
Thank you universe!
