Faye's New Politico Party*

As expected, Bassirou Diomaye Faye has founded a new party: *Kiiraay - The Republican Patriots*.

This party was born out of disagreement with Ousmane Sonko, the leader of the Pastef party that brought him to power. Faye has not been expelled from the party even though he has always shown that he was distancing himself from it.

Creating a new party means they have split for good, and that each one will now run for the office of President of the Republic on his own.

Sonko has a lot of people behind him, the youth love him, but he is up against someone who holds power and can use it however he wants, and use it against whomever he wants.

*Kiiraay - Les patriotes républicains : Le nouveau parti de Faye*

Comme on s’y attendait, Bassirou Diomaye Faye a fondé un nouveau parti : *Kiiraay - Les patriotes républicains*.

C’est un parti né suite au désaccord avec Ousmane Sonko, le chef du parti Pastef qui l’a porté au pouvoir. Faye n’a pas été exclu du parti même s’il a toujours montré qu’il prenait ses distances avec lui.

La création d’un nouveau parti signifie qu’ils se sont séparés définitivement, et que chacun va désormais briguer le poste de Président de la République pour son propre compte.

Sonko a beaucoup de gens qui le soutiennent, les jeunes l’aiment, mais il fait face à quelqu’un qui détient le pouvoir et qui peut l’utiliser comme il veut, et l’utiliser contre qui il veut.

L’avenir nous réserve beaucoup de choses.
