✨ Judging Criteria & What Competitors Are Evaluated On ✨

Each dancer is judged individually in their role as Lead or Follow.

The winner is the dancer who consistently creates the best social dance experience with any partner through connection, musical understanding, adaptability, and positive presence.
This competition is not about choreography, tricks, or performance.

All criteria are equally important:

🔹 Fundamentals (Basic & Technique)
Timing, balance, body control, clean movement, and solid basics for a safe, comfortable dance.

🔹 Musicality
Understanding rhythm, timing, and musical details, dancing in harmony with the music and partner.

🔹 Connection
Clear communication, adaptability, and shared intention for an enjoyable social dance.

🔹 Creativity & Style
Personal expression that enhances the music and connection while respecting the social essence of Bachata.

🔹 Attitude
Presence, confidence, enjoyment, and positive energy on the dance floor.
