I hear that word all the time "tight"-if you're playing gigs and your band's not "tight" without a click then you're just not working hard enough or don't know how to play. Amateur (an amazingly, even some professional ) musicians believe playing with a click makes a band tight, but actually what it does is make it easier for the people holding instruments what the concern and the focus should be about the product. The musicians are creating. Musicians are concerned with "tight" your audience is not! They are music civilians! They came, they bought a ticket and they're spending time there -they want to be blown away with emotion. They want to feel something!

Also, the sheer ignorance shown in the comments of my content from "drummers" under 40 who think there's some kind of new technology now and there's a reason why drummers them didn't use clicks on live shows unless it was necessary. Like they figured out something that we were just too stupid to know!😂

Let me be the first to tell you that there's nothing new under the sun. The reason we didn't play with a click if we didn't have to was because we as drummers were trusted! We actually got paid more and got more gigs if we had the reputation of being a guy that could park it right between the lines. We didn't need to click for God sakes one on earth is going on out there?

The absurdity of thinking "playing in front or behind" a click is the same as a breathing tempo shows me how perverted and twisted the entire idea of "pocket" and "groove" actually has become.

The best Drummers in the world are paid the most because they are trusted not just with the drumming, but with the INTENTIONAL musical DECISIONS to park it and let the tempos breathe.

Everybody's talking about AI but don't be surprised when AI comes along and makes some sterile bu****it and completely rips gigs away from musicians! What did you effing think was gonna happen? and musicians are gonna stand around looking at each other like "I can't believe people can't hear the difference."

What difference?

Man, somebody told me that nearly all the bands in Austin and Nashville up and down their music streets are now playing with in ears and a click.

You know, musicians don't have to worry about AI taking their gigs. Musicians have already self sold their humanity before AI even came around.

Yesterday marked the first anniversary of 'Gonflez Mon Sac'. 🎉 One year ago we released our second album after 5 years of silence. This without any extra promo or intense ad campaign or shows. It was just time to get that stuff out there and have people discover it themselves. An outlet of 5 years of building up tension.

Since then, a lot has changed but you could say that this album is the blueprint of how Spankraght will sound like in the future. The new EP that is on its way, is a continuation of Gonflez Mon Sac. But more on that when the time is right.
