In 2021 Consouling Sounds and XRT - Immersive tech for arts & culture collaborated for a very first time to organize the HacXathon,
a marathon inviting creatives and developers to imagine the future of music, of new ways of bringing music to the people.

There were 9 participants divided in 3 groups,

Gregg Young (researcher innovation VRT), Lucas Dewulf (XRT) and Nele Buys (Consouling Sounds).

They were presented the final results the teams worked on for 3 consecutive days@

XRT invites 3D-artists to eXhibit their work during ENTER FSTVL in the library of dendermonde.
The festival is on 9 October but the eXhibition stays until the 16th.

Your work will be printed on a 2x2m convas to be displayed in the festival.
Visitors will be able to scan this canvas to see your 3D work floating in the library.

After the festival you receive the banner with your artwork.

Transform your work with Augmented Reality

OPEN CALL: Artists / painters / designers / sculptors / Illustrators / Fashion designers ...

XRT invites artists to explore how augmented reality can add a new layer to their existing artworks.
The artist brings one artwork they want to exhibit during ENTER FSTVL in the library of dendermonde.

Thursday (23/9) we explore the capabilities of Augmented Reality using Instagram Filters.
What are the possibilities and limitations, how can it be used in an artistic context?

Saturday (25/9) we learn the basics of 3D and Virtual Reality design tools to add a new dimension to our existing works. Afterwards we implement it in an Augmented Reality filter.

OPROEP KUNSTENAARS GEZOCHT:

XRT nodigt kunstenaars uit om te onderzoeken hoe Augmented eality een nieuwe laag kan toevoegen aan hun bestaande kunstwerken.
De kunstenaar brengt één kunstwerk dat ze willen exposeren tijdens ENTER FSTVL in de bibliotheek van dendermonde.

Donderdag verkennen we de mogelijkheden van Augmented Reality met behulp van Instagram Filters.
Wat zijn de mogelijkheden en beperkingen, hoe kan het gebruikt worden in een artistieke context?

Zaterdag leren we de basis van 3D en Virtual Reality ontwerptools om een nieuwe dimensie toe te voegen aan ons bestaande werk. Daarna implementeren we het in een Augmented Reality filter.
