We simply run you through the history of popular black r'n'b anthems, and this time we also bring you the sounds of my brothers Junior Goodfellaz and Jahzulu who will be mixing up sweet rub-a-dub sounds (think Beres Hammond, Protoje, Jah Cure) with Caribbean dancehall anthems and modern day dancehall influenced TRAP sounds (think Tropkillaz, JOHNNY ROXX (official) )

Ja, voor een keer in het Vlaoms, want mijn SOLO single, geproduceert door Flip Kowlier en featuring the man himself is nu officieel uit via mijn eigen label in een samenwerking met mijn nieuwe bookingsagency We Are Music
TLP is al sinds 1986 actief als artiest in de Belgische en internationale muziekwereld.
Hij was één van de allereerste Belgische rappers, samen met Ya Kid K (later Technotronic) rapte hij in de groep Kick The Bass. Daarna richtte hij met Dj Grazhoppa de groep Rhyme Cut Core op, met wie hij in 1992 de finale van Humo’s Rock Rally haalde - als allereerste hiphop-act ooit. In 1992 verscheen de debuutplaat van RCC op het Londense label 691 Influential, gerund door de toonaangevende Londense rapper Blade.
Nadat de wegen van Grazhoppa en TLP scheidden, werd TLP rond de millenniumwisseling bekend en vooral berucht als ’s lands hardst werkende en beste party dj. Ook het buitenland leerde hem kennen: hij had een residency in Club Silencio (de club van David Lynch) in Parijs en mocht in New York op de TocaTuesdays van de legendarische dj Tony Touch draaien.
Ondertussen kreeg hij zélf ook een licht-legendarische status als West-Vlaamse mc, via zijn featurings op alle albums van ’t Hof van Commerce.
Dit inspireerde TLP nu om solo muziek in het West-Vlaams uit te brengen.
TLP’s eerste solosingle is een collab met Flip Kowlier in de rol van producer en guest mc, met remixes van Murdock en 49 Buttons. Nu uit op Stikkezar records, TLP’s eigen label.
In het najaar van 2022 volgt er nog een tweede single, in samenwerking met Team Damp.

For those who don't know i had a residency in one of the most amazing clubs in Paris (and the world) ever......Silencio, which was located next to Social Club.
It's pretty rare for a Belgian dj to be allowed to play in the rather closed circle of connoisseur dj's à l'isle de PanAm. Even though they almost refused me to enter the club when i had to play there for the first time, (they eventually did let me in and let me play).........i started getting a lot of love from both Parisiens as ex pats for my all night long sets and continued to play there for 3 years in a row. Here's a bit of an idea of what some of my sets out there sounded like.

Another great edition of my upfront series.
Not every mix is perfect, some mixes have highs and lows. While the first half hour of the mix is simply smooth top level sexiness, there are a couple of highlights during the middle of the mix but just when you think it might get boring, it gains momentum again by the end when i move into some mind blowing bass heavy soca and afrobeat anthems. Got plenty of great reactions when i was streaming it last night, so for those who enjoyed the previous editions, i'm sure you guys will enjoy this to the fullest.
