♻️ Tijd voor de zomerschoonmaak?
Maak van afval muziek! 🎵

selectie. Dankjewel!

𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀...
𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱! 📣

Today, we turn the spotlight to the other half of Louder Together: the 𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗖𝟴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, where artists and changemakers come together to explore the power of Teaching Artistry.

On 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭, August 28, we focus on 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 & 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Teaching Artistry redefines how we learn - from classrooms to orchestras, from STEAM to storytelling. Across both formal and informal learning environments, artistic practices unlock new forms of knowledge, imagination and co-creation, empowering participants to become creators of their own learning.

𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵, 𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗖, will deliver our opening keynote with the aptly titled Teaching Artistry: The Sleeping Giant of Social Change. Let his ideas and inspiration guide you through 3 days of exchange, learning and celebration at Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and DE SINGEL, from 28–30 August.

📍 Stay tuned: in the coming weeks, we’ll introduce more keynote speakers, Teaching Artists and conference themes, from education and care to conflict and civic engagement.

In our upcoming OPENDOEK magazine, Nils Hanraets reflects on the impact of youth performing arts, the importance of cultural exchange, and the mission of festivals like Louder Together that give young people a voice.

Nils is the director of the TPZ Lingen, the organisation that hosted the predecessor of Louder Together. This year, TPZ Lingen will join the festival as part of the German delegation with their performance Let's Talk About... Water.

OPENDOEK members can read the interview and mission statement behind Louder Together in next week’s upcoming magazine. An English translation will be shared through our social media.
Stay tuned!

⏱️ 100 days until Louder Together!

100 days until hundreds of young performers and Teaching Artists from different cultures come together in Antwerp.

100 days until conversations, performances, workshops, and ideas that aim to look beyond the stage alone.

A congrestival that believes young people should not stand on the sidelines, but help shape the future, in a meaningful dialogue with Teaching Artistry.

For new voices.
New perspectives.
And a future we shape together.

We’ll get louder. Together.

Happy World Theatre Day! 🎭

Not just another date on the calendar, but a reminder that every actor and performer once started young and full of enthusiasm.

Just like Willem Dafoe, author of the 2026 World Theatre Day message:
'Through storytelling, aesthetics, language, movement, scenography - theatre as a total art form can make us see what was, what is and what our world could be.'

At Louder Together, we take this to heart.

We can’t wait to welcome young performers from across the globe to Antwerp this August. With every continent represented, children and young performers will join local artists and Teaching Artists for something truly special.

Curious to hear the full message? You can watch it on YouTube or read it via the International Theatre Institute website.

Stay tuned for more updates ✨

👏 Caroline Vrijens, the Flemish Children’s Rights Commissioner, supports Louder
Together:

"Today is 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 & 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.
The slogan says it all: 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣. 𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮. 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮.

Children and young people have the right to art, culture, and leisure. This is enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This also means that art and culture must be accessible to all children and young people, regardless
of their age, where they grow up, or what opportunities they have.

Ensuring access to art and culture is essential for the development of children and young people and contributes to resilient and inclusive communities. This right is not just about being able to watch a performance. It’s also about playing, creating, and expressing what matters to you.

The performing arts give children and young people the chance to tell their stories.
To make feelings, ideas, and questions visible. To express themselves in their own way. And to make their voices heard on what is important to them.

This touches on another crucial children’s right: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱.
Children and young people must be able to share their opinions on issues that concern them, and those opinions must be listened to.

At 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, children and young people will have that space in Antwerp at the end of August. Not just as an audience, but also as creators and
conversation partners. This is important.

Because those who make art accessible and give
children a voice take children’s rights seriously."
