Bangladesh University Hosts 6-Day Admission Fair for Fall Semester

A six-day admission fair for the Fall Semester 2026 officially commenced today, Sunday (August 16, 2026), at Bangladesh University’s permanent campus in Adabor, Mohammadpur.
The fair was formally inaugurated in the morning by the Registrar of Bangladesh University, Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubul Haque (Retd.).
Also present at the inaugural event were Professor Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration & Economics; Professor Md. Humayun Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences & Law; Dr. M. M. Enamul Aziz, Head of the Department of Sociology; Professor Md. Sadiq Iqbal, Head of the Department of CSE; Professor Abul Kalam Azad, Head of the Department of Pharmacy; Professor Dr. Md. Abu Issa Gazi, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Syed Khalid Rahman, Head of the Department of EEE; Sheikh Itmam Soud, Head of the Department of Architecture; along with faculty members, students, and administrative officials.
During the admission fair, prospective students will have the opportunity to collect detailed information about their preferred academic programs and visit the university’s campus and facilities. They will also be able to interact directly with experienced and senior faculty members to receive guidance on higher education, modern learning opportunities, and career-oriented academic programs.
As part of the admission fair, students admitted to various departments for the Fall Semester will be eligible for course fee waivers ranging from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 100%, based on their SSC and HSC results.
In addition, students completing their admission during the fair will receive an additional waiver of BDT 5,000 to BDT 10,000.
The admission fair will remain open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will continue until Friday, August 21, 2026.
