During the journey to the west after becoming the Monkey King, Sun Wukong learned powerful magic, mastered the 72 transformations, could travel vast distances with one leap, and wielded the magical staff called the Ruyi Jingu Bang. He stole peaches of immortality, drank heavenly wine, ate immortal pills, and became almost impossible to kill.
The Jade Emperor invited him to Heaven, hoping to keep him under control. Instead, Wukong caused chaos, mocked the gods, defeated countless heavenly generals, and even fought powerful deities. No army could stop him.
Finally, Buddha appeared.
Buddha asked Wukong why he was rebelling.
Wukong proudly declared that Heaven's ruler was unworthy and that he himself deserved to rule because he was the strongest.
Rather than fighting, Buddha smiled and proposed a challenge:
"If you can escape from the palm of my hand, you may become the ruler of Heaven."
Certain that this was easy, Wukong laughed. Using his Cloud Somersault, he flew at incredible speed across what seemed like the edge of the universe. Eventually he found five gigantic pillars rising into the sky. Believing he had reached the end of existence, he wrote, "The Great Sage Equal to Heaven was here," on one pillar and even urinated at its base to prove he had been there.
Satisfied, he returned to Buddha and claimed victory.
Buddha simply asked him to look at his hand.
There, on Buddha's middle finger, was Wukong's writing. The smell of urine was also present.
The five pillars had actually been Buddha's fingers all along.
Only then did Wukong realise that despite all his power, he had never left Buddha's palm. The entire "journey to the edge of the universe" had taken place within Buddha's hand.
When Wukong refused to surrender, Buddha turned his hand into the Five Elements Mountain and pinned him beneath it with a sacred seal.
After all of this Buddha made a clone copy of wukong and told him to accompany the monk Tang Sanzang in the journey.
The real Wukong and the replacement eventually met. When the original encountered the substitute, they fought because both claimed to be the real Monkey King. They were identical in appearance, powers, weapons, and memories, which is why even the deities couldn't tell them apart.
So Honor of kings bringing the clone copy of Sun Wukong in the game not as a skin but as a hero called " Liu Er". Tho it is released in china server, not globally.
