The Unseen Gesture
The good man works with all his might,
To make his lady's day feel bright.
He builds a shelf, he tries to bake,
A happy smile is what he seeks to make.
She sees the flour on the floor,
And wonders what his hands are for.
She sees a gift that isn't quite right,
And misses the love behind the light.
She loves him true, she holds him dear,
But sometimes all his words aren't clear.
His heart is full, his best is done,
A gentle love, misunderstood by everyone.
