An exhibition combining visual art, film and literature titled “Matarbari Tales – Home Is Where The Heart Is” is set to be held in Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka this month, highlighting the lived experiences of coastal communities affected by rapid industrialisation.

What an incredible launch day for Matarbari Tales—And Home Is Where the Heart Is at .gallery ! A banger turnout!

The energy was electric as guests explored the exhibition, dove into the student-written stories, and connected with the powerful Nakshi Kantha map. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the book launch and film screening!

If you missed the opening, the magic is just beginning!

The exhibition is a powerful reminder of how art decolonizes memory. Come feel the spirit of Matarbari resilience over the next three days!
