আমরা নবীন বীর,
আমরা শ্রাবণ মেঘের ভারী বর্ষণ ধারা
আমরা বজ্র, আমরা কোলাহল,
আমরা তাজা রক্তের ভিড়

আমরা কচি কিশলয়
শোকাহত মায়ের কম্পন দৃঢ় শ্বাস
আমরা মৃত্যু , মৃত্যুঞ্জয়
আমরা আগ্রণী, অজ্ঞাত অনীকের লাশ

আমরা তান্ডব তটিনী প্লাবনের
ফাগুনের দ্বিগুণ কিংশুক
এক রক্ত-বন্যার শ্রাবণের

আমরা গাতক, বাদকদল
ভোরের উঠোনে বিছিয়ে থাকা বকুল
নবজাতকের খিল খিল হাসি
স্নিগ্ধ নদীর দুকূল

আমরা শুভ্র পুষ্প সহস্র
ঝিলে ভাসা সেই তরঙ্গ-তান তনু
রুধির ধারার আদ্র হাওয়া
ব্যাথিত সুরের বেণু

অস্মদ স্মরণীয়,
শত স্বচ্ছ শোকাতুর স্মৃতি
বিষবৃক্ষের মধুমক্ষিকা,
মোরা জগতপুষ্পের বৃতি

আমরা অর্ণব-অর্ণ, বারি-
অঝোর ধারা বৃষ্টির
আমরা উল্কা, ধুমকেতু ধুলিকা,
নীহারিকা, নব্য নবীন সৃষ্টির

আমরা মাতৃভূমি ,
দেশমাতৃকা রক্ষী
আমরা দৈব দুর্বিপাকের কথিত দেশদ্রোহী
আমরা দুর্ভেদ্য, দুর্বোধ্য,
ক্রন্দিত ময়ুরাক্ষী

আজ দ্যুলোক মোদের বৃন্দবাদন
ধুলোয় উড়ে ইন্দ্রজাল
বেহালার দোল পবনে গগনে
ভুবনে কুহক ঘুর্নিকাল

অস্মদ বন্য, কানন শোভা
কাঞ্চন মরুর বেদুঈন
তপন বিনা তুষার গিরির মেরুপ্রভা
আকাশগঙ্গা, কৃষ্ণ বিবর, অন্তহীন !
