"Splendor of Green," the debut solo exhibition by contemporary Dhaka-based artist Suborno Chakraborty Tonmoy, is running at Alliance Française de Dhaka's La Galerie from September 22 to 29. Curated by Sumon Wahed, the exhibition showcases Tonmoy’s intricate oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings inspired by his close observation of leaves, flowers, and grass—a practice that deepened during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The award-winning Dhaka University graduate and master flautist uses vibrant textures and colors to encourage viewers to appreciate the often-overlooked details of nature.
