✨ COCKTAIL 2 ✨

“This is not a review more like a rant.”

বাংলায় একটা প্রবাদ আছে — “খাল কেটে কুমির আনা”। সিনেমাটা দেখে প্রথমে আমার এটাই মাথায় আসলো। 2026 এর highly anticipated romantic comedy drama COCKTAIL 2।

কয়েক দিন আগে বলিউডে একটা rumor ছিলো যে Cocktail সিনেমায় এবার Le***an angle থাকবে। শাহিদ কাপুরের সাথে না, বরং এবার কৃতি এবং রশ্মিকার রোমান্স দেখানো হবে। 🎬

ককটেল 2 দেখে মনে হচ্ছে গল্পটা এটা থাকলেই ভালো হতো। অন্তত দেখার মতো প্লট তো থাকত। অবশ্য Luv Ranjan লেখায় এর থেকে বেশি কিছু আশাও করা যায় না।

📌 ALLY

কৃতির অভিনীত চরিত্র আলিশা aka Ally — দীপিকা পাড়ুকোনের চরিত্র ভেরোনিকার উত্তরসূরী। পুরো সিনেমায় Ally was just a thirst trap। এই মুভির জন্য কৃতীকে special diet এ থাকতে হয়েছে, যেটা পুরো সিনেমায় দেখা গেছে। That’s it, শুধু এটাই।

আমি আমার জীবনে Ally-র মতো এমন আত্মমর্যাদাহীন চরিত্র খুব কমই দেখেছি। যেখানে Cocktail (2012) এর ভেরোনিকার জন্য আমাদের খারাপ লাগে — ভেরোনিকা কেন এমন করছে, ওর ভেতরে কি চলছে — যখন একজন বাবা-মায়ের ভালোবাসা বঞ্চিত মেয়ে তার পছন্দের পুরুষ এবং বেস্ট ফ্রেন্ডকে একই সাথে হারায়, তখন আপনি এই চরিত্রটার সাথে relate করতে পারবেন। তার দুঃখে, তার আত্মত্যাগে আপনার চোখেও পানি চলে আসবে। 😢

কিন্তু আমি যতবার কৃতীর চরিত্রটা screen এ দেখেছি, ততবার বিরক্ত হয়েছি। We are supposed to root for this character “Ally” but I hated this character with every fibre of my being.

সারা মুভিতে — “আমি কুণালকে ভালবাসি” বলে বলে নিজের so-called ফ্রেন্ড (১০ বছর পর দেখা হচ্ছে এই দুই বান্ধবীর) এর বিয়ে ভাঙতে উঠে পড়ে লাগবে।

“পেহেলা পেয়ার হি সাচ্চা পেয়ার হে, ইয়ে জরুরি নেহি হে দিয়া, তু পেহেলে মিলি উসসে ইয়ে তেরি কিসমত হে, ইসকা মতলব ইয়ে নেহি হে — তু সাহি হে উসকে লিয়ে, মে late মিলি পার পেয়ার কারতি হু কুনাল সে।”

মানে কি এই লাইনগুলার? কোনো সেন্স আছে? 🤦‍♂️

📌 DIYA

বাংলায় একটা কথা আছে — “সুখে থাকলে ভূতে কিলায়”।

১৬ বছরের একটা healthy সম্পর্কে কিভাবে আগুন লাগানো যায় সেটা আমরা দিয়ার থেকে শিখবো। কোনো সুস্থ মানুষ তার fiancé-কে loyalty test এর জন্য নিজের young, hot, রূপবতী বান্ধবীকে লেলিয়ে দেয়? 🔥

সিনেমার গল্প বাস্তবের গল্প এক হয় না, লেখায় creative liberty থাকে — কিন্তু তাই বলে এই গল্পটা দেখে আপনার বারবার মনের অজান্তেই প্রশ্ন চলে আসবে — “What are you doing, দিয়া?”

📌 KUNAL

পুরো ছবির সবচেয়ে confused চরিত্র। Lust আর Love এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য করতে না পারা চরিত্র।

সারা সিনেমায় Ally কুণালকে বিভ্রান্ত করছে —

“No Kunal, you are not the person who you act in front of Diya… তুমি শুধু আমার সাথেই happy থাকো… তোমার আসল চেহারা শুধু আমি জানি… even though I just met you yesterday but তারপরও আমি তোমাকে তোমার থেকে বেশি চিনি।”

এবং পুরো ছবিতে কুণাল Ally-র সাথে হ্যাঁ হ্যাঁ করে গেছে। এটাই ছিলো plot armor।

১৬ বছরের সম্পর্ক, একই apartment-এ থাকো — কিন্তু যেই মুহূর্তে girlfriend-এর young বান্ধবী এসে flirt করা শুরু করলো, তখন নিজের সম্পর্ক নিয়ে dilemma-য় পড়ে গেলো।

Wow, what a screenplay!!! 👏

📌 শেষ কথা

যাই হোক, সব মিলিয়ে Cocktail 2 কোনোভাবেই Cocktail 1 এর গল্পকে ছাড়িয়ে যেতে পারবে না। শুধু নাম ছাড়া আর কিছুই মিল নেই।

বলিউডে এখন যেন একটা নতুন trend শুরু হয়েছে —

* অতীতের জনপ্রিয় একটা চলচ্চিত্রের নাম উঠাও
* কোনোমতে একটা কাহিনি লিখো
* স্টার কাস্ট করো
* পারলে একটা vulgar item song রাখো
* আর nostalgiaর নামে সিনেমা বেচো। 🎭
