As we worked on this project, we slowly realized that if we wanted to keep making this series on our own, we’d have to find some way to fund it. We never really wanted to take funding from any traditional source because we wanted to stay independent.
That wish to stay independent is what got us thinking about crowdfunding. We’d always seen artists online funding their own projects through platforms like Kickstarter, so we decided we’d do our own version of it during the exhibition. We even set up a crowdfunding booth and made a few goals for ourselves based on how much we could raise. Our first goal was that if we could raise BDT 180,000, we’d make an animated intro for the series.
But we also didn’t want people to leave empty-handed. So we decided that anyone who donated would receive gifts depending on how much they contributed. For that, we designed a bunch of merchandise specially for the exhibition.
Honestly, we had no idea what to expect.
We were completely overwhelmed by the amount of support we received from everyone over the three days. We are so, so grateful to every single person who stopped by, talked to us, donated, took something, or simply believed in what we’re trying to make.
We had promised that we’d let everyone know how much we raised, so we’re keeping our word.
Throughout the three days, we raised BDT 75,500.
And honestly… we never expected to get anywhere close to that.
Thank you so much. This means more to us than we can put into words. It motivates us, inspires us, and reminds us why we started this project in the first place.
In fact, we’re so happy and grateful for all the support that we’ve decided something.
Even though we haven’t reached our first goal yet, we’re going to move forward as if we did.
To everyone who supported us; thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts.
We’ll keep you all updated on the mini series, and on the animated intro as we keep moving forward. ❤️

Thank you so much for this wonderful coverage of our event Channel One News !
One small correction, we do not; nor ever claimed that we are the first independent animation studio of Bangladesh.
We are not the first independent animation studio of Bagnladesh.

Hello everyone,
This is team Second Studio; coming straight off of our first exhibition "The Second Studio Featuring The best Show Everest"
We are extremely happy and overwhelmed with the amount of support and kind words we have received in these last few days. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that our cartoons would be so loved.
Thank you so much for attending the exhibition, watching our pilot episode, taking time to ask us questions, contributing to our crowdfunding attempt, commenting and sharing our posts and just supporting us in ways we didn't think was possible. We are far motivated than ever and we hope we will receive the same kind of love with all our future projects.
Here is a glimpse of the 3 day event. We are still trying to process the last few days, more posts and pictures to come in the coming days.

We are excited to reveal the first look for “Best Show Everest”, a Second Studio original animated mini series. Keep an eye on the page for the pilot episode release date.

The creators; Oishik, Ishmam, and Rakeeb, have been developing the series for nearly a year. The concept of an animated travelogue inspired by their real-life adventures had been on their minds for some time, but it was their decision to trek to Mount Everest Base Camp that ultimately became the catalyst for the project.
As three cartoonists spent days walking through the Himalayas with little more than their thoughts and endless landscapes for company, their imaginations began to run wild. Stories, characters, and ideas emerged along the trail, and by the halfway point of the trek, they realized these concepts were too compelling to leave behind.
Combining their passion for adventure with the creative spark born during the journey, Best Show Everest began to take shape. The mini animated series is loosely based on their expedition to Everest Base Camp, while drawing heavily from the team's imagination and storytelling sensibilities.
Development began almost immediately after their return, and the team has spent the past several months bringing the project to life. While the series remains in development, the pilot episode is nearing completion, and the creators are excited to finally share it with audiences.
Best Show Everest is a story about three friends who go to the Himalayas for a lighthearted, spiritual journey but soon find themselves in a mystery, literally, bigger than anything.

Checkout the gameplay video of Dhaka Survivor and see Shah-Baddie in action!

Originally made for it to be played at the "Cartoons for Equality: Preventing violence against women and girls" exhibition. The gameplay was made with simplicity in mind. A one button gameplay with an optional action button (for the veteran gamers out there!) meant that anyone could play it. We also had a high-score card so that the visitors could see their ranking and we could get that high-stakes friendly competition going.
The goal was to make it as accessible as possible and showcase that video games can be an effective medium to get hard messages through!
Keep an eye on the page to get the playable link, pictures from the exhibition and more stories about how we made it.
