GPT-6 Astra just showed how quickly AI is learning to work with 3D and CAD! Biggest Milestone ever !

Now Autodesk is bringing that intelligence much closer to BIM, Forma, Revit, and the actual environment where architects design buildings.

That's a huge deal!

At the AU 2026 Day 1 Keynote, Autodesk showed where Autodesk Assistant is heading as it moves closer to the desktop and deeper into real AEC workflows, with project information connecting across Forma and the wider Autodesk ecosystem.

The live demos made the direction very real. One generated unit layouts automatically from BIM models in the cloud, which I managed to capture in the video below. Another generated facade elements directly inside the BIM model using an uploaded image.

This is where AI becomes far more interesting for architecture.

Once AI can read geometry, BIM data, spatial relationships, and project context within the model, it becomes part of the design process itself.

We can explore more options, develop ideas faster, and eliminate a significant amount of repetitive work, while architects remain responsible for validation, coordination, and the decisions that actually shape the building.

Finally here! AI is starting to enter BIM.

For AEC, this could be one of the shifts worth watching very closely.

এমন একটা সময় আসবে তখন হয়তো মানুষকে কোনো কাজ করতে হবে না -

শুনতে ভয়ংকর?

কিন্তু একটু গভীরভাবে চিন্তা করলে, ভবিষ্যৎটা হয়তো “মানুষের কাজ শেষ” হওয়ার চেয়ে বরং “কাজের সংজ্ঞা বদলে যাওয়া” হবে।
আজ আমরা যে কাজগুলো করি—factory operation, data entry, customer support, driving, inspection, accounting, content creation, software development, logistics, machine maintenance—এর বিশাল একটা অংশ ধীরে ধীরে AI, robots এবং autonomous systems দিয়ে করা সম্ভব হচ্ছে।
আর সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো—
AI এখন শুধু মানুষের নির্দেশ পালন করা একটা software নয়।
AI এখন দেখতে পারে, শুনতে পারে, analyse করতে পারে, সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য recommendation দিতে পারে, code লিখতে পারে, content তৈরি করতে পারে এবং কিছু ক্ষেত্রে অন্য AI tools ও software-কে orchestrate করতে পারে।
অন্যদিকে robotics এবং autonomous systems AI-এর এই intelligence-কে physical world-এ নিয়ে যাচ্ছে।
অর্থাৎ ভবিষ্যতে শুধু “AI দিয়ে computer-এর কাজ” নয়—
AI + Robot = Physical Work Automation
আর এখানেই আসল পরিবর্তন।
📊 কিন্তু সত্যিই কি সব চাকরি শেষ হয়ে যাবে?
এখানে একটু বাস্তব হওয়া দরকার।
বর্তমান গবেষণা কিন্তু সরাসরি বলছে না যে “সব মানুষ বেকার হয়ে যাবে।”
বরং World Economic Forum-এর Future of Jobs Report 2025 অনুযায়ী, 2030 সালের মধ্যে প্রায় 170 million নতুন job তৈরি হতে পারে, আর প্রায় 92 million job displaced হতে পারে—অর্থাৎ net হিসেবে প্রায় 78 million job increase হতে পারে। একই সময়ে প্রায় 22% jobs কোনো না কোনোভাবে disruption-এর মধ্যে পড়তে পারে।
মানে—
AI শুধু job destroy করবে না, job create-ও করবে।
কিন্তু এখানেই সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়টা আছে।
নতুন job-এর জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় skill আর পুরোনো job-এর skill এক হবে না।
🤖 তাহলে আসলে কী পরিবর্তন হবে?
আমার ধারণা, ভবিষ্যতের সবচেয়ে বড় পরিবর্তন হবে—
Human → Worker থেকে Human → Controller / Manager / Decision Maker
আজ একজন factory worker হয়তো একটি machine manually operate করেন।
ভবিষ্যতে একই factory-তে autonomous machine নিজেই কাজ করতে পারে।
কিন্তু তখনও দরকার হবে এমন মানুষ, যে—
• system configure করতে পারে
• AI model supervise করতে পারে
• machine-এর abnormal behaviour বুঝতে পারে
• automation system manage করতে পারে
• AI-এর output verify করতে পারে
• unexpected situation-এ decision নিতে পারে
• পুরো production system optimize করতে পারে
অর্থাৎ,
যে machine চালায় তার চাহিদা কমতে পারে।
কিন্তু যে পুরো automated system চালাতে পারে—তার value বাড়তে পারে।
🧠 AI-এর সবচেয়ে বড় impact আসবে “tasks”-এর ওপর
International Labour Organization-এর 2025 analysis অনুযায়ী, বর্তমান GenAI technology দিয়ে পুরো একটি occupation সম্পূর্ণ automate করা তুলনামূলকভাবে বিরল; বরং অধিকাংশ occupation-এর কিছু কিছু task AI দ্বারা automate বা transform হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বেশি।
এটা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
কারণ—
AI হয়তো তোমার পুরো job নেবে না।
AI তোমার job-এর 30%, 50%, 70% task নিয়ে নিতে পারে।
আর তখন প্রশ্ন হবে—
“AI কি আমার job নেবে?”
এর চেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রশ্ন হবে—
“AI আমার job-এর কোন অংশটা নিয়ে নেবে?”
🌍 এবং এই পরিবর্তন already শুরু হয়ে গেছে
IMF-এর analysis অনুযায়ী, বিশ্বব্যাপী প্রায় 40% employment AI-এর প্রভাবে exposed, আর advanced economies-এ এই exposure প্রায় 60% পর্যন্ত হতে পারে। তবে exposure মানেই job loss নয়—কিছু ক্ষেত্রে AI মানুষের কাজকে complement করে productivity বাড়াতে পারে।
অর্থাৎ ভবিষ্যতের competition সম্ভবত হবে—
Human vs AI নয়।
বরং—
Human + AI vs Human without AI
যে মানুষ AI ব্যবহার করতে জানবে, automation বুঝবে এবং AI-কে নিজের productivity multiplier হিসেবে ব্যবহার করবে, তার output অনেক বেশি হতে পারে।
⚠️ কিন্তু একটা ভয়ংকর possibility-ও আছে
যদি AI এবং robotics এমন পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে যায় যেখানে—
AI চিন্তা করবে
Robot কাজ করবে
Autonomous system সিদ্ধান্ত execute করবে
তাহলে এমন অনেক কাজ থাকবে যেখানে মানুষের physical presence বা repetitive cognitive work-এর প্রয়োজনই থাকবে না।
তখন সমাজকে একটা বড় প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি হতে হবে—
“যদি মানুষের কাজ করার প্রয়োজন কমে যায়, তাহলে মানুষ কী করবে?”
এটা শুধু technology-এর প্রশ্ন নয়।
এটা economics, education এবং society-এর প্রশ্ন।
কারণ আজকের society অনেকটাই এই ধারণার ওপর তৈরি—
তুমি কাজ করবে → তুমি income পাবে → income দিয়ে জীবন চালাবে।
কিন্তু যদি production-এর বড় অংশ machine করে?
তাহলে future economy-কে হয়তো completely নতুনভাবে চিন্তা করতে হবে।
🔥 আর এখানেই “AI Expert” হওয়ার গুরুত্ব
আমার কাছে ভবিষ্যতের সবচেয়ে valuable মানুষ শুধু সেই ব্যক্তি নয় যে AI-এর output ব্যবহার করতে পারে।
বরং সেই ব্যক্তি—
যে AI system বুঝতে পারে।
যে AI integrate করতে পারে।
যে automation design করতে পারে।
যে AI + robotics system manage করতে পারে।
যে human এবং machine-এর মধ্যে bridge তৈরি করতে পারে।
একজন সাধারণ worker হয়তো একটি machine operate করবে।
কিন্তু একজন AI/Automation Engineer হয়তো 100টা machine-এর behaviour monitor করবে।
একজন content creator একটা ভিডিও বানাবে।
কিন্তু একজন AI workflow designer হয়তো AI agents দিয়ে প্রতিদিন শত শত content automatically produce করবে।
একজন technician একটি machine inspect করবে।
কিন্তু একজন AI-powered maintenance engineer camera + sensors + AI দিয়ে হাজার machine-এর condition simultaneously monitor করতে পারবে।
Scale-এর এখানেই আসল power।
🚨 তাই আমার মনে হয় future-এর সবচেয়ে dangerous mindset হলো:
“AI আমার job replace করবে না।”
বরং প্রশ্ন হওয়া উচিত—
“আমার job-এর কোন অংশ AI replace করতে পারবে?”
তারপর—
“আমি কীভাবে সেই AI system-এর operator, designer অথবা manager হতে পারি?”
কারণ technology-এর ইতিহাসে একটা pattern বারবার দেখা গেছে।
নতুন technology পুরোনো কিছু কাজ কমিয়ে দেয়, কিন্তু একই সঙ্গে নতুন ধরনের কাজও তৈরি করে।
OECD-ও AI-এর ক্ষেত্রে একই dual effect-এর কথা বলছে—AI productivity এবং নতুন opportunity তৈরি করতে পারে, কিন্তু transition ঠিকভাবে পরিচালিত না হলে displacement-এর ঝুঁকিও থাকে।
🚀 আমার চোখে Future-এর equation হতে পারে:
Past:
Human → Machine
Present:
Human + Software
Near Future:
Human + AI + Robots
Advanced Future:
AI → Autonomous System → Robot
And humans?
মানুষ হয়তো ধীরে ধীরে ex*****on থেকে supervision, management, creativity, strategy এবং high-level decision making-এর দিকে চলে যাবে।
আর যদি একদিন technology এমন পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে যায় যেখানে মানুষের বেশিরভাগ economic task autonomous system করতে পারে—
তাহলে আমরা হয়তো এমন একটা পৃথিবীতে প্রবেশ করব যেখানে প্রশ্নটা আর হবে না—
“তুমি কী কাজ করো?”
বরং প্রশ্ন হবে—
“তুমি কী তৈরি করতে পারো?”
এবং সবচেয়ে valuable skill হয়তো হবে—
AI-কে ব্যবহার করা নয়,
AI-কে দিয়ে কাজ করানো।
কারণ ভবিষ্যতে হয়তো একজন মানুষ একা যতটা কাজ করতে পারবে, তার চেয়ে অনেক বেশি কাজ করতে পারবে—
একটি intelligent AI system-এর সাহায্যে।
তাই AI-এর কারণে ভয় পাওয়ার চেয়ে এখন থেকেই একটা জিনিস শেখা দরকার—
AI-কে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী হিসেবে নয়, নিজের সবচেয়ে powerful workforce হিসেবে কীভাবে ব্যবহার করা যায়।
কারণ ভবিষ্যতের সবচেয়ে বড় প্রশ্ন সম্ভবত—
“AI কি মানুষকে replace করবে?”
না।
আসল প্রশ্ন হবে—
“AI-powered মানুষ কি AI ব্যবহার না করা মানুষকে replace করবে?”
The future may not belong to humans or AI alone.
It may belong to humans who know how to control AI. 🤖🧠
