তুমি কে?
কেন তোমার চোখ মাছকে উৎসর্গ করেছ?
-আমি চোখ হারাইনি বরং তাকে মুক্তি দিয়েছি।
যা আমাকে মনে করিয়ে দিতো জলন্ত কয়লার তাপ। দুনিয়া ভেঙ্গ যেত সাদা কালো দাগে। যেনো আমার অন্ততর জেব্রার অংশ।
সূর্যের আলো ছিলো ছুড়ির মতো। যেখানো অন্ধকার অক্ষম। তাই আমি নদীর শান্ত মাছের কাছে ঋণী হলাম।
আর তার ছোট্ট শরীরের ভেতর দিয়ে আমি এখন দেখি পৃথিবী—
সে দূরে কোথাও সাঁতার কাটে—
জলের নিচে জ্বলতে থাকা একটি চোখ হয়ে,
যে সূর্যের দিকে তাকায়
কিন্তু আর পুড়ে যায় না।
