≥3 consecutive days >30°C defined as a heatwave. Using if_else() and cumulative sums, a total of 2,617 heatwave days were identified.

📊 LULC Change Detection Analysis of Chattogram District (2000–2026)
This is a time series analysis of change detection of LULC classes in Chattogram district from 2000 to 2026.
Here, I created LULC maps for the years 2000 and 2026, then performed change detection between them. I kept the change legend based on my analytical requirements. 🗺️
After that, I calculated the area of the changed classes and represented those areas using bar charts 📊 and pie charts (with percentage).
This is just a sample work. I did not conduct ground truthing or cross-verification, so no conclusions can be drawn from this analysis.

📊 Time Series Analysis of Temperature and Rainfall in Dhaka (2010–2020) 🌆🌦️

This analysis is based on 10 years of temperature and rainfall data (2010–2020) for Dhaka, Bangladesh. Here, I tried to visualize time series patterns at different temporal scales.

In some plots, I interpreted time series variations of temperature and rainfall based on daily data. In others, I used monthly time series plots to better understand seasonal variability. Finally, in the last plot, I analyzed the annual trends.

The annual trend analysis indicates that both temperature and rainfall exhibit increasing tendencies over the study period. The Sen’s slope estimator reveals a gradual rise in temperature (0.045 °C/year) and a comparatively stronger increase in rainfall (63.44 mm/year). However, the Mann–Kendall test results (p > 0.05) suggest that these trends are statistically insignificant. Therefore, the observed changes may reflect short-term variability rather than a definitive long-term climatic trend.

📌 This highlights the importance of combining visualization with statistical testing in climate data analysis.

🗺️ Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) Map – Chattogram District
Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) mapping is commonly used to visualize and analyze how land areas are distributed among different natural and human-made features such as 🌳 forests, 💧 water bodies, 🌾 agricultural land, and 🏘️ human settlements.
In this work, I created a LULC map of Chattogram District to represent the spatial distribution of different land cover classes. During the mapping process, I dissolved the island areas to simplify the spatial representation of the region.
⚠️ Note: Minor errors in area calculation may appear in the map because this analysis was conducted without ground truth validation. The main objective of this work was to represent and visualize the spatial distribution of land cover categories.
