Dear AUWians,
The AUW peace Café warmly invites you to join us in celebrating Boisabi Fest on campus this spring.
Boisabi is a collective New Year celebration observed by several indigenous communities of the Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh, including the Chakma, Marma, and Tripura peoples. The name itself comes from three traditional festivals - Biju (Chakma), Sangrai (Marma), and Baisuk (Tripura). Marked by cultural performances, traditional foods, music, and community gatherings, Boisabi celebrates renewal, gratitude, and the arrival of a new year.
Call for Performers 📢
We are also welcoming performers who would like to contribute to the cultural program. Performances may include singing, dance, poetry recitation, or other artistic expressions.
In this spirit, we hope to bring the AUW community together for an afternoon that highlights cultural exchange, creativity, and celebration.
