As part of the exhibition IRAN 2026: A Chronicle, presented at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the WARM Festival 2026, visitors encountered a text that became one of the exhibition’s central narrative threads.

Originally written for a private gathering in London and presented without attribution at the author’s request, the text offered a deeply personal reflection on the events unfolding in Iran during 2026. Within the exhibition, it stood alongside the photographs not to explain them, but as another voice from the same moment in history.

The text also inspired Bojan Hadžihalilović’s visual language for the exhibition. Rather than publishing it here as plain text, we are presenting it in the form designed by Bojan, preserving the relationship between words and design that became an integral part of IRAN 2026: A Chronicle.

We are now publishing it separately so it can be read on its own, beyond the exhibition space, while remaining part of the larger chronicle created through the project.

For three days during , the DJ / Music Workshop for Women in BiH gathered participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina with little or no previous DJ experience, under the guidance of NOUR, DJ, activist, creative director and founder of , and through music, mixing and their first steps behind the decks, gave them space to practice, explore creativity and build confidence in a supportive environment.

At the festival closing party, they showed their creativity behind the decks.

Thank you to all participants for the energy they brought into the workshop, and for sharing it with us on the festival’s final night.

This activity was implemented under the Women Lead BiH initiative, supported by the UN Peacebuilding Fund.

Another festival moment we are returning to: Decades-Old Story of Sarajevo ‘Sniper Safari’ Still in the Realm of Rumour, presented by Tommaso Siviero and Azem Kurtić.

Based on BIRN’s investigation, the presentation looked at the long-standing claims known as Sarajevo “Sniper Safari”, and at why, decades later, the story still remains between public memory, testimony and verified evidence.

It brought the focus back to documented facts, unresolved questions and the responsibility of journalism when working with stories connected to the siege of Sarajevo.

One of the festival afternoons was dedicated to Boris Dežulović’s Tko je taj čovjek?: Izvještaj o jednoj mogućnosti, presented in conversation with Ahmed Burić at the Home of ZANAT.

In the close setting of ZANAT, the promotion brought together literature, history and the questions Dežulović’s book opens about the early signs of fascism, recognition, responsibility and the moment before catastrophe becomes history.

The final day of opened with Haleh Anvari, artist and writer, and closed with Thomas Dworzak, photographer, member and former president of Magnum Photos.

Haleh Anvari joined the Academy with the lecture Grave Dancing — Finding Chapters in Lines of Colour, while Thomas Dworzak brought this year’s lecture program to its close.

After a week of lectures, conversations and exchange, we are grateful to everyone who was part of this year’s WARM Academy: our participants, lecturers and partners.

Before Saturday’s screening, held A Tribute to Antoni Lallican, a slideshow presentation dedicated to the work of the French photojournalist killed while reporting in Ukraine.

Through his work from Ukraine, Lallican documented people living with the consequences of war. His photographs kept the human side of the conflict at the centre, with attention to faces, gestures and everyday life marked by war.

The presentation was followed by a few words of remembrance from his friends and colleagues, as we remembered a man whose work was part of the same commitment WARM stands for: witnessing, documenting war, preserving memory, and understanding the cost of reporting from it.

July 11 brought GAZA: The Chronicle of a Genocide by Ali Jadallah into the Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina Building in Sarajevo, on the day of remembrance of the Srebrenica genocide.

Curated by Damir Šagolj, the exhibition brings together photographs made in Gaza from October 2023 to the present.

In the words shared with the audience, Ali Jadallah’s photographs form a record through which what is happening in Gaza will be remembered collectively. These images do not only define a moment in history; they also define us as human beings, showing what we are capable of.

Through their presence at the opening, Ali Jadallah’s wife and children connected the exhibition to the life from which these photographs come: a family separated since the beginning of the genocide, and a photographer who remains in Gaza with both his life and his work.

GAZA: The Chronicle of a Genocide remains open at the Red Cross Building until August 22.

Tonight at , we present American Doctor by Poh Si Teng.

The film follows three American doctors, Palestinian, Jewish and Zoroastrian, who went to Gaza to provide medical aid in hospitals overwhelmed by war.

They entered Gaza as doctors, but returned as witnesses too. What they saw in the hospital rooms became something they had to carry further, into public life, into speech, and into the question of responsibility.
