📣 OPEN CALL | WARM ACADEMY 2026

The WARM Foundation is inviting applications for the 8th edition of the WARM Academy, to be held in Sarajevo from July 6-12, 2026, alongside the WARM Festival. Participation is limited to a selected group of participants, chosen through an open call process.

We welcome applications from students, researchers, artists, photographers, filmmakers, academics, journalists, and all individuals engaged in or passionate about reporting, art, research, and memory practices related to contemporary conflicts and post-conflict realities.

🎓In addition to the scholarship covering participation in the program, a limited number of grants covering accommodation and transportation costs will be available. We encourage applicants – especially those coming from countries with student and artist mobility programs – to seek additional support through universities, research institutions, NGOs, or other relevant organizations.

⏳Deadline: March 20, 2026 | Results: April 10, 2026

If you believe that art, reporting, and research are forms of resistance — this is your call.
If you are ready to listen deeply, share boldly, and grow collectively — join us.

The WARM Festival and Academy 2026 will take place in Sarajevo from 6 to 12 July 2026.

Over the course of one week, WARM will present a wide-ranging program of exhibitions, book promotions, film screenings and premieres, theatre plays, music performances, interventions in public spaces, and important public conversations. Authors, artists, journalists, filmmakers, and audiences from around the world will gather to engage with work that addresses conflict, power, memory, and resistance with clarity, responsibility, and depth.

Alongside the festival, the WARM Academy will take place throughout the week, bringing together world-leading experts from different conflict-related fields who will share their experience and knowledge with the WARM network through lectures, masterclasses, discussions, and close working exchanges with carefully selected participants.

Sarajevo remains at the core of WARM, not only as a host city but as a place where difficult histories and urgent contemporary questions can be addressed openly and without compromise.

More details about the program and participants will follow. For now, save the dates and plan to be in Sarajevo in July 2026.
