Eve eats fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil after speaking with the serpent. She then offers it to Adam. After eating they become self aware and godlike.
Adam tells God that Eve gave him the fruit. Eve blames the serpent. All three are cursed by God and then Adam and Eve are expelled from the Garden of Eden before they eat from The Tree of Eternal Life.

I'm being an indoor cat because it's way too hot today. We've battened down the hatches, all the curtains are drawn, fans working overtime. Valley is a puddle of melted cat.

Perfect time to stitch. Working on my stuff. Very labour intensive, hyperfocus type work that I love love love to do. True crime podcasts and daydreaming.

I like today 🌻

Friday in the studio...first day in there for 2026.

Some rough underpaint on current work in progress, studio friends and my window view...

It's been a fun game to paint with the bigger clunky brushes. My fine motor skills are quite restricted for the time being, right thumb is stuck in one position mostly, or else it's like having electric shocks administered to the bendy joint thumb lego.

Not being able to draw for a while seemed daunting initially; I don't stop using my hands to make things pretty much the whole time I'm awake. I have zero downtime to just blob about relaxing. I cannot feel calm unless my hands are constantly moving. Just sitting still is very uncomfortable. All the no.

So..my point is: flexibility with pursuing alternative ways to creatively thrive, regardless of restrictive reasons, well..it's limitless. To daydream and imagine shifts in the process of making doesn't even require physicality.

I'm happy to push paint around again. Realistically, I only paused that practice due to my living arrangements for the best part of a decade not having any studio space to do my work (hot tip: don't live with hoarders: "The things you own end up owning you," Tyler Durden, Fight Club)

Onward and forward to a lot of painting in 2026.. a few cool tricks in the pipeline for coming months..I'll keep you posted 😉
