Wollongong Playback Theatre Wollongong Playback Theatre is currently on long sabbatical :) Playback builds on a long tradition of oral storytelling in communities across the world.

Playback Theatre is a form of improvisational theatre that takes true stories told by our audience members and plays them back using the spoken word, movement and music but without rehearsal or script. A Playback Theatre performance might be hysterically funny or profoundly moving, depending on the stories told. Our goal is always to honour the personal experiences, shared values and the strengths

and aspirations of our audience members. As well as performances for the general public Playback Theatre is used by corporate and community organisations as a training and group building tool.
