Barbara works from her studio in the Upper Murray. At the core of her work is a four-decade connection to the wild, untamed, rugged landscape of the Australian bush. Working in multiple mediums oil on canvas, print, textiles, pen and wash, and mixed media on paper. She is drawn to the immediacy and seductive quality of line and mark making to capture the essence of the landscape. What better way to enjoy your favourite pressed foliage from your garden in a botanical cyanotype printing workshop. This workshop gives you the opportunity to bring along your own pressed favourite foliage. Place it under bricks or books to flatten and dehydrate. You can also bring fresh foliage and interesting papers to use during the workshop.

Join Jo to explore the beauty of botanical printing through two expressive techniques:
experimental cyanotype
and
botanical mono printmaking.

Join Libby in her unique homage to our local bird life by preparing and printing a reduction linocut.
The reduction printing method uses a multi-color relief printing technique using a single block, cut and printed in progressive stages. At each step there will be carving, colouring and printing, using a range of colours from the lightest to the darkest. Having observed the detail, texture, and character of your own chosen bird subject you will gradually reveal its beauty in print through this repeat “reduction method".
Libby has been a printmaker and teacher for 25 years. She is now living in North East Victoria and is known primarily for her linocut prints that often depict native or domestic animals with a whimsical or narrative twist. Libby has exhibited her work widely in the region, NSW and Victoria.
