We've been very quiet the last couple of months as we dealt with some of those challenges life likes to throws at you every now and again.

We are planning our return to the splendid Bridge Hotel Werribee on June 17th so please keep your eyes peeled for updates and event announcements.

Our next Café Philosophique is happening Wednesday April 15 and we’ll be exploring the concept of SACREDNESS.

To help us pick apart what we hold sacred and why, artist Nandita Nadkarni will lead a ceramics workshop, helping us to create pendants to take home.

Nandita’s work bridges Indian and Australian ceramic traditions. Her practice centres on wheel-thrown porcelain vessels, exploring surface, texture, and cultural memory through etched and layered forms.

Hands in clay is a perfect way to ponder the parts of our lives we often take for granted.

At each Café Philosophique we open the mic up to share what we’ve written as part of our writing time. There is certainly no obligation to share, but we love hearing how everyone interprets the night’s theme and writing prompts.

The pieces are raw and unedited, but full of emotion - sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. Either way it’s always a highlight of the night!

Come and see for yourself at our next session on Wednesday April 15. Our theme is SACRED- exploring what we hold sacred and why.
