South Australian Youth Guitar Ensemble - SAYGE

South Australian Youth Guitar Ensemble - SAYGE SAYGE is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing classical guitarists development and performance opportunities through guitar ensembles.

The SA Youth Guitar Ensemble is a not-for-profit, volunteer ran association setup to promote, encourage and provide the opportunity for students (young and old) to perform the classical guitar as soloist or as part of an ensemble. SAYGE is run by an amazing and dedicated small team of volunteers and ensembles are facilitated by highly experienced, professional classical guitarists. Members rehears

e regularly during the school term with the goal of preparing ensemble repertoire tailored to abilities ready for performances throughout the year. Members are also given the opportunity to develop their solo and chamber music skills in regular performance workshops. SAYGE also offers an orchestra stream whereby all members can come together to perform as one cohort promoting cross-group and mixing of all abilities in one ensemble. SAYGE opportunities and programs include:
- Regular solo and group performances opportunities in public and in more intimate settings for members, friends and family;
- Groups tailored to all abilities (Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Adults);
- SAYGEQ, a Quartet for highly developed and technically advanced students;
- Performance Workshops to test-run performances in preparation for concerts, exams and just for personal development;
- SAYGE Orchestra;
- Access to visiting artist concerts, workshops and masterclasses.

Following the cancellation of the much loved Adelaide Guitar Festival Winter School, we would like to share an exciting new initiative - our 3 day Guitar Spring School from 7th to 9th October 2026. Our aim is to create an opportunity for guitarists to continue coming together to learn, play, connect and keep that sense of community alive by providing an inclusive musical experience for classical guitarists across South Australia.
