WOMEN IN BLUES SHOWCASE - 18th July 2026

The blues has always had powerful women at its heart — storytellers, soul shakers, truth tellers and groove makers. On Saturday 18 July we're bringing eight of them together for a very special night at Martha Salt Music.

Hosted by Australia's Women In Blues Ambassador Andrea Marr, this showcase celebrates the talent, passion and individuality of women performing across Victoria's blues scene.

Joining Andrea on stage will be a stellar line-up featuring Bronnie Gordon, Christine Manetta, Marni Rose, Miss Lizzy, Anthea 'Jewels', Linda Stainton, Sharryn Pottenger, with the wonderful Michelle Johns providing her trademark keyboard magic throughout the evening.

From deep blues and soul to roots, originals and heartfelt storytelling, every artist brings her own unique style, voice and life experience. Some have spent decades on the road, some have found their blues voice later in life, but all share one thing in common — a passion for music that connects directly with the audience.

Backed by a full band and presented in the intimate setting of Martha Salt Music, this promises to be a night full of great songs, laughter, inspiration and plenty of goosebump moments.

🎵 With Full Band: Cam Walter & Travis Winters (Guitars), Peter Beulke (Bass), Peter Hodges (Drums), Michelle John (Keys)

🎙️ MC'd by Andrea Marr

Eight women. One stage. A whole lot of soul. See you there.

Collard Greens & Gravy play Martha Salt Music Saturday 27th June 2026.

Raw harmonica driven blues doesn’t get any better.

ARIA Award winners Collard Greens and Gravy have been forerunners of the Australian blues and roots scene since the mid 90’s. The band traveled to Memphis Tennessee for the International Blues Challenge and took second place, and have won countless local and Australian awards. In November 2023 Ian Collard was inducted into the prestigious Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame.

The line up features Ian Collard on vocals and harmonica, Benny Peters on guitar, Dale Lindrea on bass and Liam O’Leary on drums.

Their recent album ‘Luedella’ won The Age/Music Victoria best blues album.

Like a night in the North Mississippi hill country, it doesn’t get any better!

“Eerie, haunting blues…it reminded me of a dark night on the Delta.”
Bruce Iglauer, President Alligator Records (Chicago, USA)

“Collard has dug deep into some wellspring of blues… and dug out a sound similar in trance-like rhythms to North Mississippi hill country blues.”
Jeremy Loome, The Edmonton Sun (Canada)

“They do what the Brits did in the 1960s, absorb the work of Delta Blues masters and synthesise those influences into their own sound, while still upholding the tradition”
Eric Thom- Blues R***e (U.S.A)

SAT NIGHT 23rd MAY MARTHA SALT MUSIC - MIKE RUDD’S INDELILIBES
https://www.trybooking.com/DLPNH

The band is Mike Rudd’s Indelibles, - the show is a concert, a dance party, it’s iconic Australian music from the last half century.

Featuring Australian prog-rock legend Mike Rudd (Spectrum, Indelible Murtcepts and Ariel) playing a swampy roots mix of blues, rock and hits dating back from 1969 onwards!

Described as a musical visionary the bands Rudd founded in the 1970's, Spectrum/The Indelible Murtceps and Ariel took Australian rock music to another level.

Spectrum released four LPs and several singles, including their national No. 1 hit single “I’ll Be Gone”, which has remained one of the best-known songs of the last 50 years, and also the first Australian rock double album, “Milesago”. The group also worked under the alter ego the “Indelible Murtceps” in the early 1970’s.

Today the Indelibles are - Mike Rudd (guitar, blues harp and vocals), Peter 'Robbo' Robertson (drums), Broc O'Connor (bass), and Daryl Roberts (‘Hey Gringo’ - keyboards)

A special event at Martha Salt with Australian rock royalty! What a treat, don’t delay.mt artha
