Wiradjuri Wave Peta Joy Williams is a Wiradjuri woman, born in Sydney. Her work is a range of paintings, weaving and cultural awareness workshops.

Originally this page was started as a marketing tool for the shoes I was painting a mini hobby business but after getting disheartened by the many people who copied my grandmother's idea I decided to use this page to share all of my work with you. Peta-Joy has been painting since before she can remember, Art has always been a major part of her life. She has been lucky enough to have her work used

for many different things, such as gifts for the hockey world cup, posters, Christmas cards, skateboards, cd covers and much more. PJ has been a finalist for the student art prize while studying my diploma in fine arts at the Eora Centre in Chippendale. PJ recently won the Bayside Council inaugural First Nations Art Competition. Her Weaving was featured as a projection on Leichhardt town hall to kick off Reconciliation week 2021. Her work has been on display in many major galleries around Australia and she has numerous murals around NSW.

At the end we piece it all together show everyone’s story is part of a bigger picture. Workshop ready!! Reconciliation Week is here and I am busy busy busy. This evening I’m at doing a painting workshop. We are using my own personal paints to colour match to some of the interior designs they use. are my absolute favourite paints to use. I often don’t get to post what I’m doing as I’m usually busy doing it. But I will be posting a few public events soon.
