Professional boundaries matter.

Clear, consistent boundaries help protect young people, support teachers, choreographers and studio owners, reduce power imbalances, and create safer dance environments for everyone.

Over 1200 people have attended one of our free Reportable Conduct Scheme webinars so far to learn about what they need to have in place for when the Scheme commences on 1 July, and how it will help keep children safe.

If your organisation needs to implement the Scheme, there are two sessions next week with spots still available - including an Auslan-interpreted session on Thursday! Head to https://www.qfcc.qld.gov.au/childsafe/reportable-conduct-scheme/resources for dates or to register.

The conversations.
The energy.
The collective commitment to change 💜

Our Safedance for Kids launch brought together industry arts leaders, performers, organisations, child safety advocates and leaders all united by one shared goal: creating safer spaces for children and young people in dance.

This program is about more than compliance. It’s about empowering the sector with practical tools, education and real strategies that support stronger safeguarding practices and safer studio culture across the dance industry.

We’re so excited to officially announce our collaboration between Ausdance QLD and the Gold Coast Eisteddfod - the largest youth performing arts competition in Australia!

This partnership is all about celebrating the next generation of dancers - from studio students to primary and secondary school performers - and creating even more opportunities for them to shine on stage.

Across 2026, we’ll be working together to support, connect and champion young artists right across the state…and we can’t wait to be part of their journey.

Studios, teachers, dancers, and parents - Ausdance QLD would love to know: Are you planning to be part of GCE this year?

"Managed by Mum" doesn't automatically make a social media account safe.

Many platforms don't permit young children to have accounts, yet we've normalised creating online profiles for dancers who are years away from being old enough to manage their own digital footprint.

Why?

No opportunity, visibility or sponsorship potential justifies social media accounts for young dancers when child safety is the cost.

Feeling the Queensland chill? ❄️

Just a friendly winter reminder for dancers and dance teachers: don't skip the warm-up!

As the weather gets cooler, it can take a little longer for our bodies to feel ready for movement. Taking the time to gradually raise your heart rate and increase blood flow to your muscles can help prepare you for class, rehearsal or performance.

Stay warm and dance safely this winter.
