Townsville was hit by a 4.7 magnitude earthquake at 9:31pm last night. It was my first time to experience an earthquake here in Australia. I had experienced a lot of earthquakes in my lifetime and this one felt so different. The house shook and there was a loud bang that my first thought was a meteor or an airplane fell from the sky and the 2nd thought was a car hit the house. My hubby said dress up so I put on a nice dress to head out and see what it was then grabbed my phone and saw a notification that an earthquake just occurred. Looked through the window and neighbors were out... knowing it was an earthquake was a relief and we headed back to bed... but it was really scary and I was shaking. Checked the house this morning if there was any damage... no damage just my paintings was in 'disaray' by a couple of centimeters... all good. I'm still alive 🥰
