Tabletop Drive II — Of Shadow and Light Series

Of Shadow and Light celebrates my love of the Australian landscape and the ever-changing patterns cast by sun through trees. Walking these roads, I’m captivated by dancing shadows that transform the ground into living abstraction. These paintings invite viewers to pause and notice light shaping the land.

Of Shadow and Light — Last Light on Sunflowers

Grown in my garden, these sunflowers became a still-life study of everyday wonder. Using bold colour and thick, gestural paint, I trace late-afternoon light at summer’s end as it slips across glass and petals, casting strong shadows. The work invites a pause—beauty lingering after the bloom.

Oil on canvas, Tasmanian Oak float frame, 33 × 33 cm
