Linda Ronstadt didn’t just step into the spotlight; she helped build the stage. Rising through California’s folk-rock and country-rock scenes, she became the voice of The Stone Poneys and soon after earned her title as the first true woman’s rock’n’roll superstar.

One of her most iconic moments? Her powerhouse performance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1979, a night still talked about, was captured beautifully by photographer John Casamento.
