Why does my dishwasher leave this sediment in half the cups/bowls? The garbage disposal is clear and we cleaned the filter in the dishwasher and it’s still happening.
We use liquid Cascade, no powdered detergent.
But it always looks like this! So clearly this grit isn’t clearing out and just getting tossed up into the dishes.
What do I need to do?

Dishwashers: does anyone have a solution for sandy residue left on dishes?
Every dishwasher i've had (3) at some point leaves sandy deposits on my dishes. I've tried commercial dishwasher cleaners, baking powder on lower shelf vinegar on top shelf hot clean, cleaning filters, nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
Seriously thinking of buying a new dishwasher even though this one was new 3 years ago...any recommendations would be great. The dishwasher tablet and rinse aid go in the same compartment - which seems like a design flaw.
Please help!
