No plans for LUNCH, today, so we decided to go to a place we have not yet tried. There are plenty of Mexican food places around town, and I have found that no two are the same in chips/salsa; even standard tacos and enchiladas differ at each location.
NEW PLACE
We tried Valeria’s on New Boston Rd. Across the street and just east of Big Jake’s. The menu is quite varied with many dishes not available at other places.
ORDERS: Mike had stuffed chili relleno which came out REALLY stuffed with steak and peppers and onions, with fresh tortillas. I had Baja style fish tacos with delicious lime rice and a small side bowl of beans. The tacos were enormous; one eaten, two boxed up. The sauces (3) were all so tasty I had a hard time choosing the best for the total bite. SERVICE: For awhile we were the only customers, so we had the full attention of our pretty server. I commented on the sauces and she brought a to-go cup of each to take with us.
RECOMMENDATION: I feel safe in recommending Valeria’s. Not crowded, great food, good service. Three chefs cook from owner’s personal recipes, so the food should be consistent.
