✨ Confession… I have a habit of falling in love with stories.

Sometimes they become songs.

Sometimes they become paintings.

And occasionally… they become both.

Life has been beautifully chaotic lately. Between running Safari Club Bar & Grill, writing, rehearsing, performing and trying to remember which day of the week it is… I’ve somehow found myself quietly building something I’ve never shared before.

An art collection.

Not because I’ve stepped away from music…

Because creativity doesn’t seem to know where it’s supposed to stop. ❤️

Over the past few months, these stories have found their way onto canvas…

Each one holds a little piece of Africa… of memory… of adventure… and of the part of me that’s forever chasing beautiful stories.

Truth be told… I’ve become quite good at juggling hats. 🎩🤣

Business owner.
Vocalist.
Writer.
Artist.

Some days I walk into rehearsal with paint on my hands… other days I leave the studio humming a melody I haven’t written yet.

I guess that’s just how my brain works.

To everyone who’s followed JuzzyDee for the music—don’t panic. 🎤❤️ The microphone isn’t going anywhere. If anything, these paintings have only given me more stories to sing about.

And speaking of music…

👀 August is looking rather exciting…

I’ve got a live show coming up very soon, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Until then…

I’ll be the one covered in paint, humming jazz, and pretending I know exactly which hat I’m supposed to be wearing today. 🤎🎨🎶

A little throwback to one of the House of Jazz Collective️

I was incredibly honoured to be invited to perform with the House of Jazz Collective—an evening filled with soul, swing, storytelling, and some truly world-class musicianship.

Sharing the stage with such a beautiful mix of gifted local artists and nationally renowned performers was both humbling and inspiring. It’s moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with jazz in the first place.

If you ever get the chance to experience the do it. It’s a fantastic celebration of live jazz, showcasing some of the finest local talent alongside incredible artists from around the country. Nights like these are so important for keeping live music thriving, and they deserve our support. 🎷❤️

A heartfelt thank you for welcoming me into such a special collective. Here’s to more nights where the music lingers long after the last note fades.
