A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Beer & Pixels last night and stopped by to play Puddle Pals!

It was so lovely getting to show the game, meet people in person, and hear your thoughts while you played. We really appreciate everyone who took the time to check it out and chat with us.

Here are some photo highlights from the night 💚

Bouncy surfaces are now in Puddle Pals 🐸

If you land on a deformable surface with bounce enabled, it basically becomes a little mini trampoline.

I finally added deformable surfaces to Puddle Pals 🐸

Now the lily pads and mushrooms actually bend and react when you jump or walk on them, which makes the world feel way softer, more responsive, and more alive.

I’ve officially touched grass… by updating it in Puddle Pals 🌿🐸

Now it has more visual variety, reacts to wind and weather, changes when wet, bends as Mojo runs through it, and can even be flattened and cut down.

Puddle Pals may have accidentally become a lawn mowing simulator 🐸

Now you can grab an in-game lawn mower, roll through the grass, shred it down, and make it easier to walk through.

Huge shout-out to for bringing these to life once again 💚

Another very normal Puddle Pals feature: stacking 🐸

Now if one player lands on another player’s head, they can stack on top of them.

So yes, you can build little frog towers now.

Hey Pals 🐸💚

A huge part of Puddle Pals is multiplayer, and we’ve finally got the frogs feeling really good together.

I’ve been using FishNet for the networking side of things, and it’s helped get the multiplayer into a much better place.

That means I can finally start showing more of what Puddle Pals actually is.

Because the game isn’t just about being a frog on your own. It's about the co-op, the chaos, and all the silly little moments that happen when multiple players are bouncing around the same space together.

And honestly, that’s where the game really starts to come alive.

Another very important Puddle Pals feature: Cannonball 🐸

Crouch in the air, slam into the ground, bounce back up, grow bigger, and then do it all again even harder.

It’s a very silly little power loop and I love it.

I’ve been working on Mojo’s grappling tongue in Puddle Pals…

And it’s turned into a pretty fun system.

You can use it to swing through the world, pull objects toward you, and even wrap around things like poles and trees instead of just clipping straight through them.

So rather than feeling like a basic grapple, it has a lot more movement, momentum, and silly frog energy to it.

It also keeps your swing momentum when you let go, which makes it way more satisfying to move around with.

Honestly, it’s become one of those systems that just makes being a frog feel really fun.

Hey Pals 🐸💚

I added another small polish feature to Mojo… jiggly eyes.

Up until now, his body had a lot of soft motion, squash, stretch, and jiggle… but his eyes felt a little too stiff compared to the rest of him.

So I added a bit of subtle jiggle to them as well, which helps them move more naturally with the character.

It’s a really small detail, but it makes his whole design feel a lot more cohesive and alive.

And honestly… it just fits Mojo way better.

Here’s how it’s looking now!
