🎠 A CAROUSEL FLASHBACK — AND A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT ❤️

“Keep your faith and your courage.”

A brief moment from the film of Carousel, with a message that still means so much.

We were so delighted to produce Carousel in 2025. Sharing its beautiful music and moving story with our audiences was a joy, and it holds a very special place in our hearts.

Sometimes it isn’t only the music that stays with us. It’s a few words of reassurance, a familiar scene, or the memory of someone we first watched it with.

It is a pleasure to revisit this wonderful score in An Evening with Rodgers & Hammerstein — and to share a little of that nostalgia here.

Were you with us for our 2025 production, or do you have a treasured memory of watching the film? We’d love to hear yours. 🎶

Great music brings us together.

There is something special about hearing a favourite song performed live—with singers, chorus and orchestra sharing the stage. We would love you to join us for the next SMOS performances.

❤️ THANK YOU, PARRAMATTA!

What a wonderful afternoon to share with you!

Yesterday, close to 700 people joined us at Riverside Theatres for An Evening with Rodgers & Hammerstein. To everyone who came along, brought friends and family, and spent the afternoon with us — thank you. Your support means so much.

We also had the joy of wishing a very special audience member, Sally, a happy 99th birthday! 🎂💐

Sally, it was a privilege to celebrate with you. Thank you for making our afternoon even more special, and warmest birthday wishes from all of us!

Bringing this music into our communities is at the heart of what we do. These songs hold so many memories — of childhood, of people we love and of moments that stay with us. Being able to share them with you, performed live by our singers, dancers, orchestra and choir, is something we never take for granted.

A heartfelt thank you to our entire company, creative team, volunteers and everyone at Riverside Theatres who helped make the afternoon possible.

Parramatta, thank you for welcoming us. We hope to share many more musical memories with you. ❤️
