Before every performance, there is a culturally significant and spiritual practice that has been passed down from generations to generations.

It is a ritual for all students to offer incense and a candle to their teacher to receive their teachers blessing. This practice of offering fruits and incense is a way to show gratitude and respect to all past and current Masters who have passed on their knowledge and expertise down to their students. The teacher will then give a blessing to each student to help calm their nervous system, to remember to dance well, and to wish for a successful performance.
