Top Tips for Caring for Your Tutu ✨

Your tutu is a special investment, and with a little care, you can keep it looking beautiful for years to come! Here are our top tips from the Tutu Palazzo team:

✨ Always store your tutu flat
Our tutus have a hoop throughout the skirt to create their beautiful, iconic shape, so they should never be folded for long-term storage.

✨ Store it under your bed
Under the bed is a great place to keep your tutu flat, safe and out of the way when it isn't being worn.

✨ DON'T store your tutu in a tutu bag
Tutu bags are fantastic for transport, but they're not designed for long-term storage. As many tutu bags are made from plastic, they aren't breathable and can trap moisture.

Instead, wrap your tutu in a clean cotton sheet or towel so it can breathe while being protected from dust and moisture.

✨ Air your tutu after every wear
Just like your pointe shoes, your tutu needs a little time to breathe! After wearing it, take it out of its bag and allow it to air in a safe, dry space before storing it away.

✨ Creased net edges? Don't panic!
If your net edges become a little creased, place your tutu inside its tutu bag and carefully lay books along the net edges. Leave it overnight and the net should be looking beautiful and refreshed by morning.

A little bit of care goes a long way when it comes to keeping your tutu looking stage-ready 🤍

This week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Jasmine! 💕

Jasmine has been part of the Tutu Palazzo family for over 8 years, first becoming one of our beautiful clients when she was just 7 years old. Over the past year, we have had the absolute joy of welcoming her into Team Tutu Palazzo, where so many of our reels have been brought to life by our very talented Jazzy! 🎬

It has been so incredibly special watching her grow, not only as a dancer, but as the beautiful young woman she is today. From those early years in her Tutu Palazzo tutus to now taking such an exciting step towards her dreams, we couldn’t be more proud of her 🥹

Jazzy is now heading to Canada to join the Alberta Ballet School’s pre-professional program Alberta Ballet School, and while we are going to miss her very much, we are beyond excited to watch where this next chapter takes her 🩰🇨🇦
