Not all superheroes wear capes…

Some wear aprons. 🤍

They create from nothing.
They gather the troops.
They settle storms.
They comfort with love.
They make a house a home.
And who else can make 4 different meals in 30 mins đź«

There’s something so beautiful about going on holiday and settling in as though it’s home. 🥰

I love seeing our pieces become the little everyday essentials, the tote bag at the beach, the tea towel hanging by the sink, the familiar pieces that make any place feel like yours.

Thank you for including us in your holiday pics. We have truely gone international this summer 🫶🌍

When your culture becomes the basis of biggest movie in the world 🇬🇷 I just couldn’t wait to watch
The Odyssey 🏛️
I’m genuinely glad I watched it. But I walked away longing for a deeper connection to Homer’s original story and the rich culture that inspired it.
I know this was Christopher Nolan’s interpretation, and I respect creative freedom, but for me, the modern dialogue, some of the costume choices, and the decision to portray Helen with facial scars, a detail that isn’t part of Homer’s Odyssey, made it feel further removed from the story I’ve always known. The creative decision to have Helen return home bearing scars inflicted by Menelaus really didn’t resonate at all with me. I can understand that it was intended to add another layer to her character, but that isn’t part of Homer’s original Odyssey, and for me it changed one of Greek mythology’s most enduring characters in a way that felt unnecessary.

Perhaps that’s why I left feeling as though I’d watched a Hollywood interpretation of The Odyssey, rather than feeling transported into the world Homer created.

I reflected with this photo I took at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio last year... you could literally feel the energy of the Gods, the air is just different there.

These stories weren’t born in Hollywood.
They were born here 🇬🇷🤍

Did Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey resonate with you, or did you also find yourself longing for a stronger connection to Homer’s original?
