A major win for Polish cinema at Cannes 🇵🇱 👏
Director Paweł Pawlikowski has won the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival for his latest film FATHERLAND.
This marks another major international achievement for one of Poland’s most celebrated filmmakers, whose work continues to captivate audiences worldwide. The director of IDA — winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film — previously won the same Cannes award for COLD WAR, which also received three Oscar nominations.
FATHERLAND received outstanding reviews throughout the festival and quickly became one of the standout films in competition this year.
