Led by Gigie Lucena-Tam, Filipino clarinettist, the Waitara Filipino Choir (WFC) sings every second Sunday of the month for the "Diocese of Broken Bay Filipino Chaplaincy"-sponsored masses at the Hornsby Cathedral Parish. Scholastica’s College, Manila, Philippines. She later on pursued her Master of Arts in Performance at the Elisabeth University of Music in Hiroshima, Japan under a full scholarsh

ip. She was the former Principal Clarinet of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, and was the Assistant Principal Clarinet of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. Based in Sydney since 2004, Gigie started teaching clarinet in primary schools and has been the principal clarinet of the Strathfield Symphony Orchestra since 2011.

It is with deep gratitude to Pope Leo XIV, I announce I have been appointed by His Holiness as Prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts, with the personal title of Archbishop.

I'm profoundly grateful to Pope Leo for the confidence and trust he has placed in me.

During my time as bishop of the Diocese of Broken Bay, the clergy and faithful have been a true joy in my episcopal ministry. I remain forever grateful to God, who entrusted me with the care of His flock.

I will remain in Broken Bay for the next three months as Apostolic Administrator before moving to Rome to begin my new ministry of service.

Please pray for me as I undertake this new challenge and please be assured of my prayers for you.
