Her first public singing experience started when she joined the St. Publius Floriana church 4 voices choir directed by the late Sr. Then she started taking voice lessons with the late Ms Bice Ciappara and with Ms Eirieos Thomas Jones which led her to participate in local singers festivals and as a chorister for several years in Valletta Dramatic Company’s operettas namely “Al Cavallino Bianco”, “L
o Zingaro Barone”, “Die Fledermaus” and others. She has also been given the role of soprano soubrette in Maleth’s operetta, “Bajadera” by Emmerich Kalman. From 1998 till 2004 she sang as a high soprano with VOICES choir. In 2003 she had a solo part in the original Maltese musical “Robin Hood” produced by Bronk productions. In February 2007 she had a singing/dancing role in a locally produced musical by Hermann Bonaci Productions “Zeza tal-Flagship” which was produced again in November 2008. Christabelle took part in Spiteri Lucas Entertainment concerts like “Flashback” 2007 and “Welcome to Hollywood” 2008 as a soloist. In 2005/06 Christabelle directed an animated song each week, for a children’s television programme called Bookmark on local TV Channel Education 22, in which she sang the song and the children animated it on her instructions. For 2 years she trained students aged between 7 to 10 years of age in acting technique, voice and improvisation at Bronk Theatre school. In Summer 2005 she was a singing teacher for children aged between 5 and 12 years of age at Razzett tal-Hbiberija. In Summer 2008 she worked at Kidstart as a Drama/Music teacher. During the past years Christabelle has been the main folk singer for Paul Curmi Dancers, representing Malta in several Folk Festivals abroad namely Schlitz and Scheesel in Germany, Almeria and Portugalete in Spain, Drummondville, Quebec in Canada, Reggio Calabria in Italy, Limassol in Cyprus and Velikoturnovo and Sofia in Bulgaria. In Malta Christabelle sings in various local events such as Notte Bianca , Notte Gozitana, St John’s Luminaria, Victory Day National event and others. Christabelle has been a resident singer with the group Latino e’ Ole’ of Paul Curmi Dance Company for about 4 years and has also been a resident singer for years at Radisson Golden Sands and Corinthia hotel in St.Julians singing Maltese folk tunes with an acoustic guitarist. Christabelle participated in Ghanja tal-Poplu Festival 2009 with the song “Irrid nghix il-Poezija”, accompanied by Frank O’Neil on guitar and vocals, his own composition.in which they won 2nd place. Since then Christabelle hasn’t stopped taking part in this festival. In October 2010 Christabelle performed at The Royal Albert Hall with the Mediterranean Voices choir at “The Beatles Philharmonic tribute” concert.
