Behind every performance of Moulin Rouge The Musical is an extraordinary company of musicians, playing a score that brings together 75 songs spanning more than 160 years of music. 🎶

With less than a week remaining until the final Broadway performance, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the incredible artists who have brought the show to life night after night.

For more than seven years, their talent, dedication and passion have been part of every standing ovation, every curtain call and every unforgettable performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. 🩵

Earlier this month, ROLEPLAY, our new co-production with Francesca Moody Productions, made its world premiere at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

It's a proud moment to see this brilliant Australian work begin its journey with audiences from around the world. Congratulations to writer and performer Hannah Reilly, director Paige Rattray, and the entire team on a sold-out Edinburgh season and an incredible Fringe debut.

As we count down to the final performance of Moulin Rouge The Musical on Broadway on 30 August, we've been looking back at some special moments from the show's journey. These photos were taken by Associate Scenic Designer, Erica Hemminger, when the set was first installed at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre just over seven years ago.

A lot has happened on that stage since these photos were taken, making it all the more special to look back and see where it all began 🩵

Last week, Liverpool got a behind the scenes look at the magic of Moulin Rouge! The Musical through our Get Technical! initiative, dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation about the backstage roles and careers available in theatre.

We welcomed attendees behind the curtain for a live demonstration of how our incredible World Tour crew brings the show to life night after night.

Well done to everyone involved, we're so thrilled to be able to shine a light on the people who make it all happen and share just how much work goes into every performance 👏

After 4 incredible years, 83 cities, 3 countries, 95 tour stops, and 1,775 unforgettable performances, the North American Tour of Moulin Rouge The Musical took its final bow last week.

Touring a production of this scale is a massive undertaking. It requires living out of hotel rooms, braving every climate, and transporting hundreds of set pieces and costumes across the continent on a convoy of trucks to dismantle and rebuild the entire show in a new city week after week.

Somehow, the company managed all of this while still delivering the same passion, energy, and joy night after night.

To say we are proud is an understatement. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and congratulations on an incredible tour.

Today is the start of National NAIDOC Week, a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrates 50 years since the first official all-Indigenous NAIDOC committee transformed the event from a Day of Mourning protest into a week-long celebration of First Nations histories, cultures, and excellence. It reflects the pride, strength and resilience of First Nations people and points to a bright future ahead – grounded in the stories, leadership and generations who refused to be silenced.

We’re looking forward to engaging with NAIDOC Week events this week and continuing to listen, learn, and support First Nations voices and communities.
