TAI PERERAU dancers will perform at PASIFIKA FESTIVAL 2024!
Our performance will be around 5:30pm on 16th November and around 5pm on the 17th!
They will have multiple other Pacific Islands performers such as Samoa, Maori and Cookisland!🥥
We can’t wait to bring the spirit of the islands to the stage alongside so many amazing acts! 🎶 Come support us, enjoy delicious food, and experience the best of the Pacific right here in Sydney! 🌺🙌🏽 Tag your crew and meet us there—let’s make this a weekend to remember! Marguerite Lai is the founder of the French Polynesian dance group O Tahiti E in 1986.
O Tahiti E has won the Heiva i Tahiti, Polynesia’s most important traditional dance competition, multiple times.

I was born in Japan raised in both Australia and Japan. I never stopped doing Tahitian dance since I was 5 so about 16 years now. Tahitian dance has always had a special place in my heart it calmed me and put a smile on my face no matter how I was feeling that day, I love feeling the Tahitian drums beating on my heart and expressing nature and emotion through dancing🌹
My mum has her own team in Japan called Aita E Pea Pea , so I’ve learnt from a young age to be an example during lessons and teaching classes but it also has a big meaning of our family bonding.
I’m so honored to now be in a position where I am able to share that to people🩷

私は日本で生まれ、オーストラリアと日本で育ちました。5歳の頃からタヒチアンダンスをずっと続けていて、もう16年になります。タヒチアンダンスは私の特別な心の一部です。その日の気分がどうであれ、私をリラックスさせ、笑顔にさせてくれるからです😌タヒチアンドラムが心臓を打つ感覚や、ダンスを通して自然と感情を表現するのが大好きです🌹
私の母は日本で「Aita E Pea Pea」というダンスチームを持っているので、幼い頃から母の背中をみて多くのことを学んで来ました😌ダンスはそう言った意味でも私たちの家族の絆を深める大きな意味も持っています💞
今、みなさんとこの素晴らしい文化を共有できる立場にいることをとても光栄に思います🩷今後ともよろしくお願い致します🥰
