I suggest quite strongly that now is the time to pull the trigger on buying one of the following artists.
The reasons are quite simple,really,
But before I name them, I will give you a little stroll down memory lane as to the why,
In 1971, a young man went to the region of Papunya to teach the children a totally foreign language. That language was English. The children were raised and taught culturally through the spoken word, song, and ceremony and had never written down a single letter in either their own language or that of another.
These songs and words were recorded in simple , decorative form so others may be able to enjoy the pride and cultural aspects of the newly formed communities and the Indigenous culture from the different regions surrounding the new settlement and let’s face it, make some dollars.
A sidestep - in1984, the last nomadic tribe chose to join their family and leave their natural existence. That is quite astounding considering the Karate Kid was showing on George st Hoyts cinema in Sydney and Hungry Jacks were serving the best burgers..!
My point in speaking of these 2 things brings about the unbelievable concept that these highly sensitive and talented people would never image in a million years that their artworks would adorn public institutions and hang above fancy loungeroom settings amongst flat screens and snooker tables.
All of the artists I recommend to you are now either deceased or no longer able to paint.
They are pioneers of their world and have become the most significant artists of our time. They form part of the last of the officially documented art movements - Australian Aboriginal Art.
I don’t mean to sound like a salesman, but I am selling you 20 years of knowledge and thousands of hours of research and well, a few personal opinions too.
You know what, I am going to keep you guessing… but if you do want to know my opinion and talk about what to buy and how to go about it, please get in touch and we can discuss what all the urgency is about.
