2 days to go. You can start thinking about your performance outfit if you like - we ask everyone to wear white shirts on top, ang long black trousers or skirts on the bottom. A black bow tie for tenors ad basses. Black shoes and socks, and a black cover for your score.

That's it! You'll be ready to be on stage (for rehearsals, wear whatever you like!)

Tickets are on sale now for Handel's Messiah at Sydney Town Hall.

These annual performances, in the heart of Sydney, are also at the heart of Christmas celebrations for so many people. It's an amazing performance, by an amazing choir of volunteers who come together each year to sing this iconic music and raise money for charity.

Rehearsals start next Monday evening for Handel's Messiah in Sydney - that's only 7 days away! You will need to have your Trybooking receipt printed out (we stamp it as your record of attendance), your score (copies on sale next Monday for $35 if you don't have one), a water bottle (NOT metal) and a 2B pencil and eraser.

Get ready for a great time. We have some wonderful young soloists, who will be joining us in a few weeks' time. Mark Quarmby will be back on the organ, and Tim Chung will be back in the conductor's stand. See you next Monday.

Only 8 days until the choir starts rehearsing for Handel's Messiah at Sydney Town Hall. Are you getting 'match ready' for this year's activities?

Before the weekend is over, go for a walk, do some stretches, and start working those lungs! Breathing is an important part of singing well and with volume. We will be filling the Town hall with sound, and that will require your best physical and musical ability.

You could even put a soundtrack for Messiah on, so you can listen to the choruses while you walk and exercise! Sing to the people you pass on the way!
