Sam Neil stars in a special matinee screening on Saturday Aug 29th. With a $100 entry door prize it should be a great film. As usual choc tops and popcorn will be available. This is an alcohol free event.

The next film should be another heart warming movie. Based on the life story of Tourette Syndrome campaigner John Davidson, MBE. Set within 1980s Britain, the story follows him throughout his troubled teens and early adulthood, and explores this little known and entirely misunderstood condition, along with his attempts to live a ‘normal’ life against the odds.

The next film on Tuesday June 09 tells the story of Amélie Poulain, played by Audrey Tautou, a shy and quirky waitress who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better while dealing with her own isolation.

This is a heart warming film that is sure to have you leaving the cinema pleased that you saw this.

As usual there will be in intermission with all the usual goodies.

Please note there will no no July screening as the team take a one month winter break

Next Tuesdays film is another Musical based film - Sunshine on Leith.
It is a 2013 Scottish romantic musical film directed by Dexter Fletcher. It is an adaptation of the stage musical of the same name, a jukebox musical featuring songs by the Proclaimers. It was screened in the Special Presentation section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
As usual the canteen will be open
Film starts promptly at 7:00 pm. Doors open 630 pm

The songs, arranged by musical director Paul Englishby, are performed by the cast. The Proclaimers themselves appear in a brief cameo.

Tuesday April 14 film is going to be another Bill Nighy cracker.
Sometimes Always Never is a 2018 British comedy-drama film directed by Carl Hunter and written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, starring Bill Nighy, Sam Riley, and Jenny Agutter.

Premise
Alan is a stylish tailor with moves as sharp as his suits. But he's spent years searching tirelessly for his missing son, Michael, who stormed out over a game of Scrabble. With a body to identify and his family torn apart, Alan must repair the relationship with his younger son and identify an online player who he thinks could be Michael, so that he can finally move on and reunite his family.[2]

Next Tuesdays film is a musical comedy feel good movie about a struggling musician who realizes he's the only person on Earth who can remember The Beatles after waking up in an alternate reality where they never existed.
Great music and as usual there will be beverages, snacks and choc tops pre screening and at intermission.
