I am packing my bags, dusting off my wings and heading down to Northcliffe this weekend for their fabulous bee festival! Will I see you there?

Stumbled across this amazing stall today at the Stirling Square Market - Guildford and as a fellow mushroom enthusiast I just had to share! It's so wonderful seeing our younger community members coming up with innovative ways to make a difference in the world.

These young girls are upcycling spent mushroom substrate into the most wonderful potting mix, and are even giving out free samples! Or you can get a whole large bag for an extremely reasonable $4.

Mushroom substrate is gold in the garden, it makes the most beautiful and healthy soil and is the secret to any thriving garden. Did you know it's one of the first things soil scientists look for under the microscope when assessing soil health?

We don't normally see the fungi since it spends most of its life growing below the surface and underground, but even when it isn't sending up mushrooms it's always there! This is such a clever way to kick start the fungi system your soil needs to support strong and healthy plants, or to give a boost to what's already there if it's struggling.

Who's coming to the royal show?
I'm here with Everything's Shiny Productions doing FREE glitter tattoos and face glitter at the Building For Tomorrow tent - find us just up the hill from chicken treat, across from the Herriatige Hall.

As well as the glitter station there is also a digger ride, racing simulator games and kids crafts; and grown ups can learn about the new building projects that are being created for WA by our state government.

I'll be here today, Tuesday, Friday and next Sunday until 3pm each day, but Team Shiny will be here until 5pm for the whole show.

Guess who's coming back to Nannup?
After an amazing time making flower crowns and giant bubbles at the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival last year, we are thrilled to be coming back this year with even more fun.

This year we're changing things up with some workshops for the grown ups on Saturday - my fan fav 'making use of excess produce' workshop will be on from 10-11am. Come along and learn how to use dehydrators to make fruit leather, chips, nutrient powders, flours and more; plus other no jar needed food preservation tips and tricks. This event is ticketed, so be sure to grab a spot.

Then from 1-2pm we will be doing a FREE talk on all things backyard animals! Let's discuss ducks, chickens, rabbits and how they are all able to assist in creating a thriving food forest.

On Sunday we are heading back to the kids zone for a fun filled day crafting bush critters - this one is a drop in workshops, so kids can rock anytime and make their own pet critter from nuts, seeds and other bits and bobs.

Tickets for dehydrator workshop available here:

I can't wait for tomorrow!
It's so lovely to be involved in local community events - This one is right around the corner from me, if the weather is nice I might just walk (or fly 😉 ) to work 🧚‍♀️

Hope to see lots of you there!

Myself and Bilby Bob had so much fun at the Boddington Medieval Fayre yesterday, making giant bubbles and helping everyone with their scavenger hunts. Did you see us there?

We are just in love with these photos, the photoshoot set and my beautiful new gold belt - all done by the very incredible Forged Fantasies. I just adore their creations, everything they touch is a work of art!

Thank you as always to the Boddington team for inviting myself and my fairy friends Magickal Kenzie and Fairy Sophie along, and for all your hard work creating such an incredible day. It's always such a special event and one I look forward to every year.
