Scieppan Gallery presents a new series of plein air oil paintings by Julien Playoust, drawn from his long- standing connection to Millambri, his family property west of Orange. The collection forms part of an ongoing dialogue with the land, revealing subtle relationships between landscape and labour, person and place.

Julien has developed an extensive new body of work for this exhibition, and we’re excited to welcome him to the space. Please join us on 10 October to celebrate the opening.

‘Narratives of Body, Self and World’ is officially open. Visit us in the gallery to see the wonderful works of five Sydney based artists.

Featured is the work by abby murray whose work draws us into a tactile world of materials and histories. She works with layers and textures to build up compositions that feel almost like paintings, yet remain distinctly grounded in the language of textiles.

Join us this coming Sunday 4-7pm for the opening of our new group exhibition ‘Narratives of Body, Self and World.’ Featuring five Sydney-based emerging artists including up and coming NAS and UNSW graduates.

We are excited to welcome these artists to the gallery. The show features abby murray Alessia Zanetti catherine weng Cristelle Cabrera fiona macpherson
