Art and inspiration during my time in Venice, visiting for the 61st Venice Biennale. So many exquisite works old and new. Trip highlights were a night tour of Basilica di San Marco taking in the byzantine architecture, tiling and more as well as enjoying the relative sanctuary of the Peggy Guggenheim collection at her private palazzo.

Back in the studio for the first time in what feels like a while.

It always takes me a minute to get back into it, so I’m starting where I usually do: a trip to the art store, playing around with colours, and Triple J Unearthed on in the background.

No big plan yet, just getting my hands moving again and seeing what comes out.

ATRIUM featured in , home by

Created for this double-height space, Atrium is a custom transparent Perspex sculpture designed to catch, reflect and refract natural light as it moves through the home across the day.

Positioned at the centre of the house, the work becomes part of the architecture itself, bringing colour, rhythm and atmosphere into the interior.

Its form also references the five seasons in Chinese medicine, holding ideas of balance, transition and flow within the space.

A special project to be part of, and a reminder that art can shape not only how a home looks, but how it feels.
